Yesterday, Director of National Intelligence John Negroponte released his annual threat assessment to the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence, noting the biggest terrorism threat to the U.S. remains al Qaeda, and greatest proliferation threats remain Iran and North Korea. He also noted increasing cooperation between Syria and Iran to support terrorism.
