Er, anyway, check out this Worth 1000 contest, some fantastic photoshopping of famous paintings with superheroes dubbed in.
BTW, I went with the offspring to see X-Men III today. Mostly, the reviews were right. It is just a string of fights patched together without much of a script. Particularly meaningless parts were the bridge-moving scene and the flinging of the burning cars, which truly did not seem to have any point at all. Nightcrawler was sadly missing, and the pathetic Anna Pacquin, playing Rogue, was wasting our time again. The makeup and effects for the Pheonix were quite good. But the thing that actually stuck with me was the weird, androgynous mutant with Magneto. It (she? he?) had a bra on, but it really had a male body otherwise, and a face that could go one way or the other. My daughter and I were both puzzled by this person (who was not overly made up and must look pretty much the same way in real life) and turned to each other at the same time to say, “Is that a man? Is that a woman? Maybe it’s Prince!” I kid you not. We both said that at the exact same time.
Overall, I give X-Men III a 2.5 of 5.
UPDATE: Found out who the androgynous mutant was: Ohmyrata Mota, Dominican supermodel. Well, those quirky Dominicans may think she’s pretty hot, but this Iowa gal thinks she’s kinda creepy. And yes, I did in fact link to the creepiest, manliest picture of her I could find.

ok i agree with you there, im a south african student and i consider myself a good movie critic…2.5 is just way too lenient. id give it a 1, i kept getting bored and talking to my boyfriend during the movie!!!!!! and the ending… no comment.
Ha, you’re right. I think in retrospect I’ll knock my rating down to a 2. But no lower, because the movie freely exploited good looking shirtless males with highly developed six-packs, but no nearly-naked females (except Mystique, which is not exploitation because that’s just the way she is).
Jeeeeez you guys are harsh. A 2.5 and a 1??? I’d definitely have to give it a 5, simply because I got to see Hugh Jackman half naked so often.
